Cherie Boland at Symphony Landscape Design will work with you to create a unique landscape design constructed bespoke for your needs. She prides herself in creating designs which are not only one of a kind but fulfil the design brief and is ultimately functional and suited to each client’s lifestyle needs. Cherie understands that a design needs to compliment and augment upon existing structures, ensuring that architecture and garden blend seamlessly into the landscape.
All projects from backyard courtyards to expansive property acreage all the way to large scale commercial designs will be tackled with the same goal, to create innovative and functional space, suited to personal needs.

GARDEN/ HORTICULTURE CONSULTS
Many people feel they don’t need a thorough garden design package, but their landscape is a little tired or outdated. Maybe they simply need some garden / plant advice. Symphony landscape offers horticulture consulting to help clients formulate practical strategies and overcome any problems so their landscape can be enhanced. 1-hour consults are scheduled – from this a basic mud map may be formed to guide the client.
Drawing from her years of local horticulture knowledge and experience, Cherie can assess a site and formulate plans to overcome or restructure so the site can be enhanced.
GARDEN DESIGN PROCESS
Initial consult/Site visit
- The design process begins with an initial consult which is carried out on site to determine the client brief.
Site measure
- In conjunction with any site plans Cherie will visit to take accurate measurements and locate any existing natural or built site features.
Concept plan
- An initial concept plan will be presented and an opportunity to discuss any arising issues.
Working Plan
- A general specification for works plan will be drawn with relevant basic construction details
Planting Plan
- Exact plants, quantities and their description will be proposed. Along with plant care and maintenance.
Conceptual images
- Drawings and images in 3D rendering will be proposed to bring the design to life for the client.
Lighting Plans
- Outdoor lighting plans on request
PROJECT MANAGEMENT
Cherie takes a genuine interest in the design project right to the finish so she will be on call as the project takes place to ensure attention to detail is given. Talk to her if you would like her to project manage your construction. She will advise and source a landscaper suited to the client’s space and works with them to ensure the design planned brief is fulfilled.
PLANT AND POT SALES
Cherie will source the advised plants if required with door service delivery. Plants are hand chosen and suitable to the local climate, making sure each client receives plants which will give the best start to their garden design. Her planet can range from tube stock, if desired, through to advance, depending on the budget requirements. Cherie also has a list of ‘bespoke’ pot suppliers which she sources from. She has a passion for design and sees hard structures including pots to be essential elements to bring your space to life and set it apart from the rest. She ensures the pots she supplies are of the highest quality to compliment your style. Talk to her for an individual pot design to make your outdoor area come to life.
